General
In order to put a horse up for sale or bid on an auction, you must create an account. It is completely free and you can do it easily with BankID.
Once you have created an account, you can register your horse for auction. Email us at kundtjanst@travera.nu. It costs 895 SEK plus VAT to register a horse for auction. Don't forget to read the auction terms!
Travera holds auctions continuously (usually Saturdays at 7:15 PM) and your horse will have a unique closing time on a special day. When the auction is over, Travera will contact the buyer and seller to help you through the transaction.
Horse registration
When registering a horse, we need:
The horse’s name
Seller (company registration number/personal identity number)
Bank account number (IBAN, BIC)
Contact details
Stabling location
Before the auction:
Image (Tip! A good image is important in advertising. Please include a wide-format image when registering your horse with Travera)
Veterinary certificate/pregnancy certificate (no more than seven days old from the auction date)
Quote (Tip! Feel free to include a quote about your horse as an individual. For example, describing its temperament and its height at the withers)
Other information that you would like/are able to provide to facilitate the sale.
Costs
Registering a horse for auction costs 895 SEK plus VAT. Travera also charges a sales commission (2.5 percent) and a call-in commission (2.5 percent). If there is a call-back, the commission is 1 percent. The maximum cost per item is SEK 25,000. All amounts are exclusive of VAT.
Cancellation Fee
In the event that a registered horse is withdrawn from an ongoing auction due to illness, upon presentation of a veterinary certificate approved by Travera, the Seller will be charged a Cancellation Fee of SEK 2,000 in addition to the Registration Fee. If a registered horse is withdrawn for any other reason, the Seller will be charged a Cancellation Fee of SEK 10,000 excluding VAT, payable to Travera in accordance with the issued invoice.
How it works!
For a Saturday auction, the horses are published early in the week and the closing time for each horse during the auction is published. Keep in mind that the better the information, pictures and videos of your horse, the higher the price it has a chance of commanding!
The lowest bid (opening bid) is 10,000 SEK, then increases as follows:
- Increase 2,000 up to and including 50,000
- 5,000 up to and including 100,000
- 10,000 up to and including 500,000
- 20,000 up to and including 1,000,000
- 50,000 over 1,000,000
If a bid is received later than two minutes before the given end time for the auction, the auction time is automatically extended by two minutes. The end time can therefore be dynamic depending on when the last bid was placed.
Billing Procedures
On the day following the conclusion of the auction, Travera will send invoices to the buyer for the purchase amount as well as auction costs.
The seller is responsible for all costs for up to five (5) days after the auction ends. If the horse is collected within this period, the seller is also responsible for costs on the day of collection.
Thereafter, responsibility for costs transfers to the buyer, regardless of whether the horse has been collected or not. The buyer must have paid in full and collected the horse no later than ten (10) days after the purchase, unless otherwise agreed by the Parties.
Partner auctions
Travera offers partners the opportunity to use the platform for auctions. The partner's terms and conditions apply to these.
Terms of sale
The horses are sold in their current condition and payment must be made before the buyer can collect the horse from the seller, unless otherwise agreed between the seller and buyer. Full terms and conditions for travera.nu can be found here.
